Always Fresh!
In 1999, Jeff Simpson and Gary Blackburn traded in their corporate suits for khakis and branded polo shirts. Their entrepreneurial dream had begun. They were on a mission to provide the Bakersfield community with a high-quality, premium deli with hand crafted, fresh sandwiches, homemade salads, soups, cakes, cookies and other baked goods. The community welcomed them with open arms, first in downtown Bakersfield, and in 2002, in the Rosedale Promenade, next to Target. University Centre opened its doors in 2005 and Clovis in 2008.
